Desig and development for a sales based web site, to enhance cross browser compatibility, search engine optimisation, and integrated Paypal using the API to facilitiate immediate payments.

Web Site Development

As the web site consisted of a sales and download page, the site was coded in XHTML and CSS, using progressive enhancements in CSS and Javascript for newer web browsers, whilst ensuring legacy web browsers could still browse and view the web site’s information.

The Paypal API was used to integrate a purchase button, and ensure that downloads are only accessible by customers who have paid for the product.

Using the Paypal API, purchase buttons were integrated into the sales page.

Google Analytics was also integrated, and configured for ecommerce sales, to allow the client to track the number of sales, click through ratios and other useful statistics to further optimise and enhance the site in the future.
