End My Panic
This project involved designing and developing a web site using the Wordpress platform, which aimed to provide immediate solutions and advice to those suffering from panic attacks and similar anxiety disorders, as well as a long term solution by way of a book.
Web Site Design
The web site design focused on:
- Clear, usable navigation for the main site sections
- Leader articles on the home page, to get the visitor’s attention to the 5 main articles / tests
- Easy to read content
The proposed design used a calming, blue colour scheme, with the leader articles using stock photography and custom fonts to provide emphasis to the site visitor when they initially view the page, as well as call to action buttons to get them to carry out the next step (view an article, take a test etc)

The proposed design included clear navigation, leader articles and strapline text for those looking for a quick solution to a problem.
A strapline ‘about’ line of text was also proposed below the articles, for first time visitors who may be looking for an immediate solution to their anxiety issue.
Web Site Development
Wordpress was chosen for this project, so the client could easily edit the existing pages and images, as well as keep the news section of the site updated through the below Social Media Strategy.
As with all work, the design was coded in XHTML and CSS, using progressive enhancements in CSS and Javascript for newer web browsers, whilst ensuring legacy web browsers could still browse and view the web site’s information.
A custom Theme Options administration panel was coded in Wordpress, allowing the site owner to edit the leader article titles, captions, images and button locations.

Wordpress Theme Options, allowing the site owner to configure the leader articles on the home page.
