Overview
JVPress is a premium WordPress Theme designed to allow anyone with basic WordPress knowledge to create their own sales based web site.
Web Site Design and Build
Our focus on designing the JVPress Theme was:
- Clean, simple design
- Well spaced out elements
- Focus on call to action graphics provided (buttons, opt in forms etc)
We were also responsible for producing the WordPress Administration sections, covering:
- Ability to toggle display elements (header, menu, footer, footer menu, colour scheme, template layout)
- Define video, opt in provider, call to action button and comment systems (WordPress and Facebook) – all without requiring any code
- Theme Options – checking for theme updates, license keys and defining custom graphics for the user’s WordPress web site
With hundreds of possible site design / layout combinations, it was important to focus on an easy to use Administration section within the WordPress Pages functionality. Using unobtrusive Javascript meant that key fields could be toggled as and when they were needed. The frontend Theme and child templates were coded using XHTML and CSS, ensuring full cross browser compatibility and minimal markup for best possible SEO and accessibility.
